Stainless Steel VS Anodized Aluminium

Posted on 2023-01-102023-01-13 by coilss.com

Anodized aluminum is electrochemically treated and an anodized layer is created on the surface. This layer is three times harder than aluminum and adds finishes to its surface. Stainless steel is an amalgamation of iron and chromium.

Anodized aluminum is much lighter than stainless steel. It has a high strength-to-weight ratio.

Anodized Aluminium proffers excellent heat conduction, more than stainless steel.

Stainless steel is resistant to scratch, stain, and corrosion. It has high sturdy durability than anodized aluminum. Anodized aluminum has an extra advantage of additional coating; it grounds more strength and durability.

Stainless steel is more expensive than anodized aluminum. Anodized aluminum is a pretty affordable option.

Stainless steel and anodized aluminum are used in kitchen cookware. Stainless steel does not cause any toxicity in long-run use. But due to better and symmetrical conduction of heat in anodized aluminum, cooking takes less time. Anodized cookware poses a non-stick coating although this coating can be scratched with time and aluminum can be exposed.

Both are a great source of corrosion resistance and strength. Anodized aluminum is light in weight and the perfect solution to aircraft. Stainless steel is used in modern applications.
